Welcome to Hanover Park - Cpt

This website has been created for all to see our little town and to show the world that our people here have as much to offer as the people from everywhere else in the world. Hanover Park was once a Milk farm some fifty years ago. Its inhabitants are mainly from distric six and was forced to move here by a goverment no one cares to remember. If it were designed to keep a coloured community in one place, this goal was definately achieved but it also brought about an unbreakable bond between neighbours, friends and families who lives here in Hanover Park on the Cape Flats.

The Terminus: Here one can find a bus or taxi to almost anywhere. Some taxis operate from as early as 5 o' clock in the morning. Catch a taxi to Cape Town, where naturally you can link up with busses and taxi's going well everywhere in our beautiful country. A taxi to Mitchell's Plain, Manenberg, Claremont, Wynberg, Athlone, Lansdowne, Retreat, you name it they will get you there. Only downside is and this is understandable but in most cases one would have to wait for the taxi which generally is a 15 or 16 seater to fill up first....Sadly no one has thought of a from your house to the terminus taxi service yet.

The terminus is the busiest spot in Hanover Park and is so pretty much throughout the week, but weekends one could get lost amongst the thousands doing their weekly shopping here. The terminus over weekend has also become the place where one is sure to find the oh so familiar face you haven't seen in over a week or two...

The biggest attraction is Shoprite, a chain supermarket store and the one stop shop where one can find almost all your bare necessities.

The next attraction is the two butcheries, Medina meat market, with its eye catching slogan, "please to meet you, meat to please you" and Allies butchery.

Freshly fried fish & chips from Sollies and Wally's not to mention the samoosa's and pies from Wanies take a ways.

Hanover Park terminus also has an extremely busy and packed day hospital and 24 hour emergency ward. Anyone wishing to visit the day hospital be very, very patient if you are going to arrive there after 6 am. Cannot say how many babies our maternity ward has delivered, but it is situated on the grounds of the day hospital and so too is our dentist- make an appointment, be early or suffer some more...A few GP's also practises medicine on the terminus and for everyone’s convenience you will find two pharmacies on the terminus as well. One cannot claim to have lived in hanover Park, if you did not visit the baby clinic.

Greengrocers can be found on almost every corner of the terminus, so if its fruit and vegetables your after, look no further.

The Hanover Park service station is situated in the heart of Hanover Park- fill up with unleaded or led replacement petrol for your convenience. Sadly no diesel...
